Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and certified 442A Industrial or 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in our facility and other projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for industrial and construction projects.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure proper functioning.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems for safety and compliance with local codes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to install and maintain advanced robotic systems and equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Certification of Qualification (C of Q).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial or construction electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical blueprints.
• Familiarity with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and other relevant regulations.
• Experience with robotics, automation, or electrical controls is a strong asset.

THIS IS A PERFORMANCE/COMMISSION-BASED ROLE THAT REQUIRES:

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• • • Conduct Territory Business Development:  daily grow our contact list and own Sales Pipeline through COLD CALLING, effective NETWORKING and market RESEARCH. 
    • Conduct the FULL SALES CYCLE from Outbound Prospecting and Lead Nurturance to After Sales support, maximize revenue from repeat sales 
    • Meet weekly and monthly PERFORMANCE KPIs and reach quarterly SALES TARGETS 
    • Utilize Striven ERP to MAINTAIN ACCURATE CRM RECORDS daily, and perform all functions required to take a project from lead to completion (ERP training provided).  
    • Learn and adhere to company PROCESSES, SOPs and PROTOCOLS. 
    • COLLABORATE with Engineering team and Leadership to address client needs and project requirements, prepare proposals and estimates and initiate transactions.  
    • Act as a client LIAISON AND ADVOCATE to identify and resolve issues and ensure smooth communication between client and team. 
    • Actively pursue networking opportunities, including trade shows and other in-person events. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• • • MINIMUM 3 years of B2B OUTBOUND SALES experience is REQUIRED  
    • DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING is REQUIRED 
    • Degree and/or Experience in Control Systems or Robotics & Automation is REQUIRED

TECHNICAL (AUTOMATION) KNOWLEDGE:

    • Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Omron)

    • Smart sensors (IO link devices, IFM, Balluff etc.)

Additional technical training can be provided to the right candidate 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

• • •  Valid Driver’s licence and clean driving record for regular domestic travel 
    • Valid Canadian Passport and ability to travel internationally 
    •  References (will be required on request) 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• • • Design, configuration and programming of automation and controls systems using PLC, HMI, Robotic and SCADA systems.
    • Complete controls designs and electrical schematics; specifying hardware and components.
    • Develop PLC code and HMI programs using Allen Bradley Studio5000, FactoryTalk View, Siemens TIA Portal, and applicable programming software.
    • Develop and implement the communication and I/O interfacing between devices and systems
    • Download offline programs into the machinery and troubleshoot I/O, communications, and machine function
    • Develop a safety PLC program in accordance with OSHA, RIA, and CSA standards for the automated system to ensure proper function. Document results on safety checklists
    • Provide detailed documentation throughout each project
    • Collaborate with customers, project managers, engineers, electricians and other subject matter experts to achieve project objectives.
    • Commission automation systems at the machine builder and final customer facilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• • • Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or Robotics & Automation is required
    • Applicable experience in the Controls and Automation Industry
    • Senior position applicants must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Controls and Automation Industry
    • Intermediate position applicants should have 3-7 years of experience in the Controls and Automation Industry
    • Junior position applicants should have 1-3 years of experience in the Controls and Automation Industry.
    • Valid Drivers License & access to reliable transportation
    • Valid passport and must be willing and able to travel locally, throughout the USA and Mexico

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• • • Programming all controls related devices, including but not restricted to: PLC & HMIs (Rockwell, Siemens, Omron)
